The tablecloth was stained in many places and really not fit for use anymore, so I didn&#8217;t feel too guilty for cutting it up! You could easily use an old doily or any type of lace from the fabric store if you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Vintage Lace No-Sew Bunny Garland\" width=\"720\" height=\"405\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/8ngWUsVLYm4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supplies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-list\"><li>Cardstock<\/li><li>Pencil<\/li><li>Scissors for paper<\/li><li>White scrap fabric (I used an old sheet)<\/li><li>Old lace tablecloth (or doilies or other lace fabric)<\/li><li>Fiber fill or other stuffing<\/li><li>Optional wooden skewer or thin stick<\/li><li>Hot glue gun &amp; refill sticks<\/li><li>Optional rubber glove<\/li><li>Fabric scissors<\/li><li>Faux fur, small pom-poms, or cotton balls<\/li><li>Cotton twine (preferably natural color, not bright white)<\/li><li>Needle and White Thread (if creating a garland)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Directions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Draw a bunny shape on the card stock (or print one from the computer).<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5843.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2488\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Cut the bunny shape out (never use fabric scissors on paper &#8211; it will dull them!).<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5844.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2489\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Trace the bunny shape on the white fabric using your pencil. You will need 2 tracings per bunny. I recommend an odd number of bunnies for a garland &#8211; I made 7 bunnies (14 tracings).<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5845.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2493\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Cut the bunny shapes out with your fabric scissors.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5846.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2491\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Glue the 2 bunny shapes together using hot glue, but leave a gap for stuffing the bunny.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5847.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2494\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Stuff the bunny with desired amount of fiber fill. Cut a rectangle of lace that will cover the whole bunny.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5854.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2507\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Working quickly, outline the whole bunny in hot glue and lay the lace on top, pressing the edges down into the hot glue. Wearing a rubber glove will help prevent you from getting burned, as the hot glue will seep up through the holes in the lace!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5848.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2498\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Trim the excess lace off from the edges of the bunny.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5849.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2499\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">11. Glue on a small piece of faux fur, pom-pom, or a cotton ball for the tail.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5850.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2500\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12. Tie a small bow with the twine. Glue it to the neck of the bunny.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-medium\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5851.jpg?w=1280\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2502\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">13. Use as basket filler, or create a garland with a needle and white thread. <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/hymnsandhome.files.wordpress.com\/2021\/02\/img_5817.jpg?w=819&#038;resize=614%2C767\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2484\" width=\"614\" height=\"767\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">I threaded the string through the center of each bunny&#8217;s head, working from right to left. Don&#8217;t go too low on each bunny with the thread or the bunnies will tip forward when the garland is hung.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Alternatively, you could glue the bunnies onto a length of twine if you don&#8217;t want to mess with a needle and thread.
