- Making a no-sew upholstered cushion with piping
Note: This is an upholstered cushion, not a removable cushion cover. It is semi-permanent (could pull it off if you want to change the fabric someday), but is a great no-sew option for normal, moderate use. Not recommended for high-traffic and heavy duty use (kids, pets, etc.).

I just watched your 5 part video on upholstering the vintage armchair in the blue and white Toile fabric. It turned out so very, very nice. You did an excellent job on the upholstery work and explaining all of the steps and tips you gave.
I am with you on procrastinating when I have sewing to do. It is probably one of my least favorite things to do in diy and crafting.
The part you gave on making the piping and hot gluing it was mind blowing for me. I could not figure how I would attach piping to furniture because I couldn’t see how I could attach it to the frame like I would sew it to a cushion. Hot glue is a lifesaver. I will also be using that spray adhesive a lot, too, I imagine.
Thank you so much for your honest instructions and encouragement in letting us know mistakes can be made and fixed, and it’s okay not to like sewing.
I think I have the confidence to stop procrastinating and get to reupholstering a couple of chairs I picked up from the Habitat for Humanity store 3 or 4 years ago. It is about time.
